Country singer interrupted show to confront man who allegedly beat woman
At the Colorado State Fair, country singer Scotty McCreery interrupted his concert to confront a man who allegedly hit a woman in the audience.
Country singer Scotty McCreery stopped his concert at the Colorado State Fair over the weekend when he saw a man allegedly attacking a woman in the crowd.
A video circulating on social media shows the North Carolina-born star interrupting the show for more than two minutes during the intro to his award-winning song “It Matters To Her” while authorities intervene with help from the crowd.
“Here, you just hit a woman, sir,” says 30-year-old McCreery, and the crowd gasps loudly. “No way, you just hit the woman. Police? Security? Is she OK? Get out of here.”
“For heaven’s sake. At a Scotty McCreery show? What are you doing?” the singer said on stage after pointing out the alleged attacker. “Tell the cop who hit the woman. This is absolutely unacceptable.”
People at the front of the crowd are seen pointing at a person who is eventually escorted out.
