(autotag)Marco Tulio (/autotag) failed to finish his first appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series and was not given a contract largely for this reason.
The second time was different. Tulio (12-1) returned on Tuesday at Dana White’s Contender Series 69 and took down Mattheiu Dulcos (/autotag) (6-3) with a spinning back kick to the stomach followed by punches (autotag).
The middleweight fight was stopped after 2:38 minutes in round 2 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. You can watch the replay of the finish below (via X):
Tulio, 29, is a member of Chute Boxe and trains under coach Diego Lima. Between his DWCS appearances, he earned one more win, a knockout in the LFA. Nine of his 12 wins have come inside the distance.
The 29-year-old Frenchman Duclos has ended his four-fight winning streak. He is the training partner of lightweight contender Benoit Saint Denis.
