There are many changes coming to the Big Ten Conference in 2024 that have fans especially excited for the games this year. One of the biggest changes is the addition of new teams that have left other conferences to join and compete. Teams like USC, UCLA, the University of Washington, and the University of Oregon will all be joining the Big Ten, leaving other conferences like the PAC 12 behind.

With so many new teams joining the conference, many have wondered if there will be multiple divisions in the North, South, East and West. The answer, at least at this point, is no. The Big Ten Conference will still play its finals at the end of the year with the two best teams in the conference.

Another hot topic is whether defending national champion Michigan can maintain its dominance this season. The Wolverines promoted from within, naming Sherrone Moore their new head coach after Jim Harbaugh left to return to the NFL as head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. After his departure, Harbaugh took several assistants from his Michigan staff with him, in addition to defensive coordinator Jesse Minter. Moore must now build a team from the ground up. Will he be able to do that?

With all of this information in mind, it’s important to know where to watch the best Big Ten games this season. Here’s where to watch a Saturday afternoon game on live stream.

How to watch Big Ten football on Big Ten Plus

One of the biggest benefits of college football’s popularity is that streaming platforms were created to accommodate it. If you’re in dire need of more and more Big Ten Conference sports, even beyond college football, look no further than Big Ten Plus. It lets you live stream games that weren’t broadcast by a major broadcaster, or if you missed a game on Saturday, you can catch it on Sunday through the streaming service to keep up with the latest. Other providers can help you get access to Big Ten Plus, as you can use streamers like Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, and DIRECTV STREAM.

How to watch Big Ten Football on Sling TV

Sling TV has become one of the leaders in live streaming thanks to its live TV availability. It’s one of the cheapest and easiest to use services, with a monthly payment starting at $40/month (Sling TV is currently offering 50% off the first month, bringing the first month’s price down to $20). While Sling TV’s Orange package includes ESPN (which streams Big Ten games), we recommend you get the Orange + Blue package to maximize your sports coverage, as Blue has some pretty solid channels too. This costs $30 for the first month and $60/month after that.

How to watch Big Ten Football on DIRECTV STREAM

DIRECTV STREAM is another great option for watching college football this season. In addition to ESPN, it offers the Big Ten Network and various regional sports channels. For college football fans, the Choice Package, the second tier of DIRECTV STREAM, is probably the best choice. It offers over 125 channels and is currently available at a discounted price of $70/month for the first three months. After those three months, the regular price of $109/month applies.

How to watch Big Ten football on Fubo

If you’re looking for another live TV option, Fubo could be the perfect solution. With a base price of $80/month (there is a seven-day free trial, though), Fubo offers up to over 300 channels, including CBS, ABC, and Fox, which stream some of the college football conferences. Additionally, Fubo includes seven different ESPN channels and four Big Ten channels, making it a real game-changer for diehard fans.

How to watch Big Ten football on Peacock

On August 31, NBC and its streaming service Peacock will begin airing Big Ten on Saturday nights. The show is in its second season and will feature a primetime matchup between two Big Ten schools. Depending on who is playing who that week, some games will be simulcast and others will be exclusively on Peacock. NBC’s production of these games makes it the leading broadcast network (and streaming service) dedicated to the Big Ten Conference. If you don’t have Peacock, sign up for just $8/month or save 17% with a one-time annual payment of $80 for the year.

How to watch Big Ten Football on Paramount+

College football fans, get ready: Big Ten football is returning to CBS in fall 2024. You can live stream all Big Ten football games on CBS with the Paramount+ Essential plan, which costs $8/month. Plus, Paramount+ now offers SHOWTIME (which you can get as an add-on for $5/month more, and why wouldn’t you?), which offers a long list of streaming content outside of live football, so you’ll really enjoy it throughout the season and beyond.

How to Watch Big Ten Football on Hulu + Live TV

Hulu + Live TV’s base package offers fans of Big Ten football plenty of options. It includes channels like ESPN, the CBS Sports Network, FS1, the NFL Network, and the Big Ten Network. The great thing about Hulu + Live TV is the ability to bundle multiple streaming platforms. And if you miss a game, Hulu + Live TV also offers unlimited DVR storage in its various streaming packages. For $77/month and a free trial, this is an attractive argument for signing up if you’re a Big Ten football fan.

How to watch Big Ten football games from anywhere with a VPN

If you’re outside the US, you can still watch the 2024 Big Ten college football season by using a VPN service like ExpressVPN or Private Internet Access. These VPNs allow you to change your virtual location, giving you access to US streaming platforms like ESPN+. Private Internet Access starts at just $2/month, while ExpressVPN is currently offering a 49% discount on its annual package.
