Warning: Spoilers! This story contains spoilers for The BacheloretteSeason 21 “Men Tell All,” which aired on August 27. Episodes can be viewed with a Hulu Subscription if you haven’t caught up.
Jenn Tran’s journey is just one episode away from ending, and as always at the end of every season of The Bachelorette The “Men tell everything” special is coming. In addition to the return of the Guys Jenne eliminated during the season to spill all the tea, there is also The Bachelorette the opportunity to have closure with her exes about everything she came up with while recaping the season. Jenn had a lot to say to Season 21 villain Sam McKinney, and Bachelor Nation absolutely loved watching him get “dragged through the mud.”
Sam McKinney and Jenn Tran were physically attracted to each other from the beginning of Season 21, but Bachelor Nation realized pretty quickly that there wasn’t much substance behind Sam M’s catchphrases like “be the most important thing” and “10 toes down.” The relationship ended after a nightmarish group date when Sam M. couldn’t say anything real about Jenn or his feelings for her. Apparently, she also saw a lot of other behavior she didn’t like, as she told him on “Men Tell All”:
It wasn’t just what she saw on the screen that bothered Jenn Tran. Sam McKinney’s family and friends took to social media (via Reddit), allegedly with the words The Bachelorette had edited him to look like a villain, overshadowing Jenn in the process. The PA student also addressed this on “Men Tell All,” continuing:
She went on to say that she feels sorry for the person he ends up with if he doesn’t take responsibility for his actions, and Bachelor Nation is there for that. As one X (Twitter) User said:

Seeing Jenn Tran attack Sam McKinney was definitely a highlight of a pretty busy Men Tell All episode. Another fan wrote:
Jenn destroying Sam is definitely my favorite moment of the night #TheBachelorette #menTellAll pic.twitter.com/1Jqc1lK9sM28 August 2024
When Jesse Palmer interviewed Sam McKinney earlier in the special, he tried to clarify some of his statements and stuck to his claim that he loved Jenn Tran, but ultimately admitted that his performance could have been better. Many viewers weren’t buying what he was selling, and they seemed grateful that Jenn finally called him out on his bullshit. Other tweets included:
- Oh, she HATES this man – @IyanaJonesRees2
- YES THANKS JENN CALL OUT THAT CLOWN – @akamarvros
- no, if I am Sam M, I leave the country – @BobLiu11
- LMAOOO, PURIOOOOD, JENN, NN, EAT HIM 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 – @MsMollyBB
- JEN RIPPING SAM MA NEW ONE IS THE BEST PART OF THE MEN TELL ALL – @Court_Distefano

Now that Bachelor Nation may have seen the last of Sam McKinney – unless he shows up Bachelor in Paradise Next year – we can focus on Jenn Tran’s two remaining candidates – Marcus Shoberg and Devin Strader. The BacheloretteThe three-hour finale TV schedule 2024 at 8 p.m. ET next Tuesday, September 3, on ABC.
