Road workers extend Seminole Trail turn lanes on NB and SB by 300 feet

A Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) contractor will begin work Tuesday to extend the turning lanes from U.S. Route 29 (Seminole Trail) to Fredericksburg Road from both U.S. 29 North and U.S. 29 South.

During construction, motorists on northbound and southbound U.S. 29 will have access to eastbound and westbound Fredericksburg Road from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, but drivers should slow down and watch for workers on and off the road.

When completed, the turn lanes will total 300 feet in length. The estimated completion date is Friday, August 30, weather permitting.
