Six Flags Mexico had to step up its customer service efforts after a group of park visitors found themselves in an awkward situation during a period of inclement weather.
Watch the video…the SkyScreamer ride was halted while riders were suspended in the air…dangling high above the ground for nearly 10 minutes.
As if that wasn’t terrible enough, the breakdown occurred as torrential rain was pounding down on the theme park in Mexico City.
The incident was horrific… and not just because of the bad weather… several riders were clinging desperately to the metal chains – some screaming in fear.
Fortunately, no one was injured in last week’s incident. Six Flags Mexico later confirmed that bad weather was the cause of the delay to the SkyScreamer ride and other affected attractions.
The theme park Continuation … “Unfortunately, the storm became more severe during the evacuation, causing some uncomfortable moments for our visitors. Park staff cared for all visitors and no incidents were reported. Sky Screamer resumed normal operations shortly thereafter.”
This is not the first chaotic incident at a Six Flags park this summer. As TMZ previously reported … a young boy rescued after fall into a man-made river during a malfunction on the Roaring Rapids ride at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington.
No one was injured in the incident, but the footage lent itself to viral entertainment and circulated online for several days.
People go to Six Flags for the thrills – not for the unexpected falls and goosebumps!
