Céline Dion is a mother of three children: What you should know about her sons

Céline Dion is a world-famous singer and proud mother of three sons.

Dion, who shone with her performance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, and her late husband and manager René Angélil have three sons together – René-Charles Angélil and twins Nelson and Eddy Angélil.

In June, René-Charles accompanied Angélil Dion at the New York premiere of her documentary “I Am: Céline Dion,” which documents her journey with stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder.

In an emotional speech at the premiere, Dion thanked her sons for their “daily love and support.”

“I love you very much,” she added after thanking each of them by name.

Earlier this year, Dion attended the Rolling Stones’ performance at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas with her three sons. The family went backstage to see Mick Jagger, and Dion shared a photo of herself and her sons with the rock star on Instagram.

Since announcing in 2022 that she was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, Dion has been leaning on her sons.

In February, Dion made a surprise appearance at the 66th Grammy Awards, where she was accompanied onstage by René-Charles Angélil.

Dion and René Angélil welcomed René-Charles Angélil on January 25, 2001.

Dion shared a birthday tribute to her eldest son on Instagram in 2022, writing, in part: “I blossomed watching you grow up. Your intelligence, your generosity, your courage and your great sensitivity never cease to touch me.”

The eldest son is also a musician like his parents.

In 2021, he released an EP titled “CasiNo.5” under the name RC Angélil. The track list includes the songs “Mamba Mentality,” “MONEY, THRILLS, AND REST,” “NO Ls,” “GG4,” and “LV.”

“I am so proud of my son. My love for him is so strong and it touches me deeply that one of his passions is also one of mine,” Dion wrote on social media at the time.

Dion and Angélil welcomed twins Nelson and Eddy on October 23, 2010.

In October 2020, Dion shared three childhood photos of her twins on Instagram to mark her “beautiful boys’” tenth birthday.

“Nelson and Eddy, you have brought so much joy, love and laughter into our lives every day for the last 10 years,” she wrote in the caption. “You make me, your big brother and your dad, who is surely watching over you, so proud.”

Both the twins and their older brother appear to be hockey fans. In November 2023, they posed for photos with their famous mother and Montreal Canadiens players in the locker room after a game against the Vegas Golden Knights, according to Dion’s Instagram.

“My boys and I had so much fun visiting with the Montreal Canadiens after their hockey game against the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday night in Las Vegas. They played so well, what a game!!” Dion captioned the photos with her sons. “Thanks for meeting us after the game boys! This was unforgettable for all of us.”
