Popular college sports report gives WVU football a 12-0 cap

Popular college sports report gives WVU football a 12-0 cap

Big Game Boomer, a college sports account with over two hundred thousand followers on Instagram and X, predicted a 12-0 cap and 5-7 bottom line for the West Virginia football team in a post published Thursday.

For those who don’t know, highs and lows are predictions of a team’s ability to perform. For example, if the Mountaineers play to their full potential and everything goes their way, BGG predicts they can go 12-0 in the regular season. On the other hand, if WVU plays below expectations and gets into trouble, BGG predicts they will finish 5-7.

Other teams given a 12-0 limit include Appalachian State, Georgia, Kansas, Liberty, Memphis, Miami (FL), Michigan, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas State, UCF and Virginia Tech. Of all the teams given a 12-0 limit, WVU was the only one with a negative record at its level. West Virginia will face Kansas, Oklahoma State and UCF in conference play this season.

No. 8 Penn State, which hosts West Virginia in its season opener, has been given a 10-2 cap. Other prominent CFB teams such as No. 2 Ohio State and No. 5 Alabama have been given a 11-1 cap.
