Video: Man steals $3,000 worth of records from Barnes and Noble
No suspect was found.
On August 13, approximately $3,000 worth of records were stolen unnoticed from Barnes and Noble in Federal Way.
On Aug. 13, according to a Federal Way police case report obtained through a public records request, a white man described as being in his 40s, 50s or 60s entered Barnes and Noble, 31325 Pacific Hwy. S., and filled a large green duffel bag with about 100 vinyl records.
The man then fled in a black Kia Soul. When the report was filed, no suspect had yet been found.
The video, found by The Mirror, shows that the man entered and left the store in exactly 50 seconds. He walked around the area where the records were for a moment, then took the bag out of his jacket and stuffed the green duffel bag to the top with records. Shortly after the man left the store, a member of staff stopped, looked at the display, which was now missing around 100 records, and then walked away.
