Jim Hudson Automotive Group helps alleviate food shortages in South Carolina

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – One of the largest franchise retailers in the Midlands is once again helping to alleviate food shortages in the Palmetto State.

For nearly a decade, the Jim Hudson Automotive Group has donated a total of 13 million meals to Harvest Hope Food Bank.

This year they are providing 2,000,000 meals to the food bank.

On Thursday, representatives from Jim Hudson and Harvest Hope Food Bank will hold a press conference at 2 p.m. to announce the donation.

The donation is the result of the 13th annual Jim Hudson 2000 sales event, in which all nine Jim Hudson locations were tasked with selling 2,000 vehicles in three months.

“Every Jim Hudson 2000 sales event is more successful than the last. I am honored that our determination and teamwork have led us to this incredible donation today. Raising the funds needed to feed one in eight South Carolinians who face hunger is an accomplishment that every Jim Hudson employee can be proud of. We look forward to an even greater impact next year,” said Jim Hudson, CEO and founder of the Jim Hudson Automotive Group.

Both organizations will also raise awareness and speak about the importance of businesses supporting Harvest Hope in fighting hunger in South Carolina.

“We are so grateful to Jim Hudson Automotive Group and their tireless support of our communities. To date, they remain one of our most generous sponsors. Jim Hudson is a man who truly understands the importance of giving back to the community he serves and cares about all South Carolinians,” said Erinn Rowe, CEO of Harvest Hope Food Bank.
