The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program announced today that applications are open for horse shows to compete for the 2025 TIP awards. Awards are available for shows of all sizes and virtually every equestrian discipline, including eventing and combined trials, dressage, Western and English pleasure, ranch riding, hunter/jumper, endurance, barrel racing, polo, polocrosse, obstacle course and working equitation.
The application period for all horse shows to apply for 2025 TIP awards is September 30, 2024. Horse shows, horse competitions and other events wishing to present 2025 TIP awards must apply during the application period, even if the information or show dates are tentative. All horse shows must apply for awards each year. The online application is available at tjctip.com/About/HSIGI or on the Horse Show Personnel tab on the TIP website. Awards are not available for online or virtual horse shows.
Since its inception, TIP has presented awards at more than 12,000 shows in 53 states and provinces. In 2024 alone, TIP awards and classes were approved for more than 1,500 horse shows. 7,071 Thoroughbreds competed in the 652 shows whose results have been reported to date.
TIP was founded and announced in October 2011. It recognizes and rewards Thoroughbred versatility through sponsorship of Thoroughbred classes and top scores at sanctioned horse shows, year-end performance awards, a recreational riding program and out-of-competition awards.
