Horrifying footage has emerged showing the moment a woman narrowly escaped death after a man dragged her from a Los Angeles Metro train and threw her into freeway traffic.
The incident occurred on August 7 at around 5:30 a.m. at the Allen subway station on the A subway line in Pasadena.
On August 12, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced that Juan Flores had been charged with attempted murder of the woman.
Gascón said Flores allegedly attacked the victim and threw her onto the tracks and then into the carpool lane of the nearby 210 Freeway.

She was then taken to a local hospital and treated for deep cuts to her face and staples to her head. She was later hospitalized again after she developed an infection and a high fever, Fox 11 reported.
“Our thoughts are with the victim and her loved ones as she begins her road to recovery following this horrific attack,” Gascón said earlier in a press release. “No one should have to endure such brutality, and everyone has the right to go about their daily lives without fear for their safety. We will not tolerate violence in our transportation system and will continue to hold those responsible fully accountable for their actions.”

Janice Hahn, Los Angeles County Councilwoman and chair of the Metro Board of Supervisors, issued a statement to Fox 11 about the incident, saying the board is conducting a comprehensive investigation, including a list of the locations where Metro police officers and traffic enforcement officers were located at the time the woman was attacked.

“Our trains, buses and stations must be safe for our passengers, and we must continue to implement safety reforms to get our system to that point,” Hahn said in the statement.
She added that the board is also working on a plan to increase safety during morning commuter hours.
