What the DNC isn’t telling us about Kamala Harris – because they can’t

Finally, someone on the podium at the Democratic National Convention listed a concrete achievement of Kamala Harris: “She cooks an excellent brisket,” confided her husband Doug Emhoff.

Seriously, the speeches so far have been full of Trump bashing, full of promises to protect abortion rights, full of “vibes” – but completely empty when it comes to concrete statements about what the candidate actually does well.

We heard here and there how “tough” she had been as district attorney of San Francisco and attorney general of California, and there were some kind words about her (brief) tenure in the Senate – and President Biden said she had played a part in his successes.

But the closest Michelle Obama came, despite all her memorable lines, was this one: “Kamala came from a middle-class home and worked her way up to become Vice President of the United States of America.”

Got up — with what Results?

She has been able to win some high settlements.

What a big state corporation not?

And finally: “As Vice President, she helped cap the cost of insulin to pharmaceutical companies, reduce health care costs, and provide tax breaks for families with children.”

She helped!

That is all We got everything in over an hour of speeches from the party’s star speakers.

Kamala Harris has been in politics for decades, but no one can recall any significant leadership feat or truly courageous action—let alone any serious results she has personally achieved.

We hope that Brisket Really Good.
