TROY, Alabama (WTVY) – Troy Athletics released new details on game day parking and stadium area updates for the upcoming 2024 football season on Wednesday.
Seating plan updates
The student section at Vet Stadium has been expanded to accommodate the record-breaking number of Troy University students who continue to pitch.
The student section now includes Section 107 on the east side of the stadium. According to Troy Athletics, this allows students to create “one of the most intimidating atmospheres for opponents in the Sun Belt Conference.”
With the expansion, sections 207 and 209 on the upper deck became general seating, so that the entire east deck now also has general seating.
Section 118 was converted into a reserved section on the west side of the stadium. The bricks between sections 118 and 120 serve as a dividing line between reserved and general seating in the lower section.
Updates for premium areas
To ensure the protection of all premium areas, Troy Athletics will enforce the use of wristbands as identification for guests in the North End Zone, Stadium Club and Michelob Ultra Lounge.
Each bracelet is color-coded and printed with the opponent and the date.
Visitors will be issued wristbands after tickets are scanned at the relevant entrance. Access to premium areas is strictly limited to those with a relevant wristband pass. Further details will be sent to visitors to these areas.
Parking on match day
All parking on campus is reserved for members of the Trojan Warrior Club and parking is allocated based on the amount of annual philanthropic donations. For more information on parking, contact Gary Wilbert or Steven Voss.
In addition, single game parking permits can be purchased for $25 per game in Lot 5. These permits can be printed at home and will be scanned at the entrance to Lot 5.
Handicapped parking is available in the Troy University Rec Center parking lot via John M. Long Drive. A valid state-issued disability permit is required to access the handicapped parking space.
Traffic information
George Wallace Drive will be closed from International Boulevard to Johnny Long Drive two hours before kickoff and will remain closed until one hour after the end of the game.
Fans who have parking passes for the National Guard Armory Lot or North End Zone Lot will be granted access to those lots during the two-hour closure. All traffic to these lots must come from the north end of George Wallace Drive from Downtown/Elm Street, not from US Highway 231.
