Jake Gyllenhaal refuses to give a “date” when he might marry his girlfriend Jeanne Cadieu.
The 43-year-old “Road House” actor was first linked to the 27-year-old French model in 2018 and now hinted in an interview with “The Hollywood Reporter” that a marriage between the two could be in the plans.
When asked when he and Jeanne plan to get married, Jake said, “Should I tell the Hollywood Reporter?
“I won’t give you any time estimates.”
He added that he is finally putting his loved ones first: “I think we’re all in a phase of work, work, work, and for a long time my career took priority, but I’m at a point in my life where I realize that family is really the only thing that matters to me.”
Jake also talked about how much he and Jeanne enjoy cooking together, adding that they recently spent a day tasting desserts together at KCRW’s Good Food PieFest and Contest in Los Angeles.
He said: “We got the tickets a month and a half early. I thought, ‘Honey, we can go! We can go to the cake contest!'”
Jake and Jeanne are famously secretive about their romance, but they made their red carpet debut together in September 2021 at the premiere of The Lost Daughter, a film directed by Jake’s 46-year-old sister Maggie Gyllenhaal.
The couple have since made several other public appearances, including at the Paris premiere of Jake’s film “Ambulance,” a 75th anniversary screening of “The Innocent” at the Cannes Film Festival and a London screening of the actor’s film “Road House” in March.
Jake addressed their shared hatred of being in the spotlight during a 2021 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, saying that Jeanne doesn’t seem to enjoy all the “other stuff” that comes with fame.
He added: “That’s one of the reasons why I just adore her… it’s not the main reason, but, you know, one of them.”
