People who don’t use trailers very often often take years to figure out what they like and don’t like about a trailer. And frankly, trailer manufacturers rely on that. They add things that sound great but sometimes aren’t all that useful. Or they only add four of something you wish you had eight of. That’s why so many people customize their trailers over time. My trailer was a super basic model when I bought it, and I’ve added all sorts of tie-downs, ramps, and more to make it much more comfortable. Frankly, I’ve used my trailer A LOT more times than most people use in ten lifetimes. But I think that means I’m a pretty good judge of what makes a good trailer good and a bad trailer bad.
