The 20th “Cezeri Lab” project of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) is being implemented in Kenya

The Cezeri Lab at Kenyatta University has a modern technology infrastructure and is designed to provide training and production in advanced technology fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, 3D modelling and programming. The installation process involved integrating the latest computer hardware, programming kits, robotic components and 3D printers into the lab.

During the two-week intensive training program that took place after the lab was set up, a total of twenty scientists from the Departments of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace and Computer Engineering, and Engineering Design and Planning at Kenyatta University received detailed training on topics such as designing and programming robotic systems, developing artificial intelligence algorithms, and 3D modeling techniques. At the end of the training, the participants had the opportunity to implement their own projects in the lab.

The establishment of the Cezeri Lab is aimed at accelerating research and development in advanced technology at Kenyatta University. By integrating the lab into the practical curriculum of various engineering and design departments, the project aims to enhance students’ skills in design, modelling and robotics.

Furthermore, the project aims to strengthen cooperation between Turkey and Kenya and promote the exchange of knowledge and experience between young scientists and professionals from both countries.

Prof. Caroline Lang’at Thoruwa, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Kenyatta University, thanked TİKA and the Turkish people for their support and friendship and stated that the Cezeri Lab has greatly enhanced the capabilities of Kenyatta University.
