Drift Coffee & Kitchen, a cafe serving high-quality coffee as well as breakfast and lunch options, opened its new Chapel Hill location on Tuesday. The new branch is located at 111 South Elliott Road in the Village Plaza shopping center.
“We serve things we enjoy,” says the Drift website. “Food that is minimally processed, nutritious, fun and tasty.”
Drift has also opened a new location in Raleigh, expanding the Triangle footprint of the popular chain based on the beaches of the southeastern state. It takes over the space most recently occupied by Just Salad, which closed in October 2022 after just two years in business.
According to the website for Drift’s Chapel Hill location, the “full-service cafe will offer a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items, including premium coffee, beer, wine and cocktails. The bright, open space will be your new favorite spot for all-day dining in Chapel Hill.”
The location is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the kitchen closes two hours earlier.
